CONGRATULATIONS to Gerry & Joyce Kolb and the crew of Rediorknot in Winning their division at the 40th Annual Level Regatta In Youngstown this past weekend!!! Sailing with them were Glen Sears and Jud Heck III.
It was a Awesome showing from the Wilson Clubs and Racers, Vicki Murray & her boat Thiller from TYC, crewed by Allsion Murray, Dale Mayers & Brent Powley, from WYC… took a second in their class. Northen Seitz from TYC, Mike and crew took a 2nd in their class, and Ole’ from TYC with crew Dave Dannhouser from WYC took a 3rd in their class.
Great job by all the Wilson harbor racers and crews!!!

Notice of Race
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The Regatta is open to boats owned by members of a recognized Yacht Club. The owner must provide a current membership card or other evidence of membership acceptable to the Organizing Authority.
2.2 Registration and check-in will be held between 1700 and 2000 on Friday, June 28 at the SBYC Clubhouse. Late registration will be accepted at the on Saturday, June 29 between 0700 and 0800.
The Registration Fee for this Regatta is $75 US.
4.1 It is the intent of the Organizing Authority and the Race Committee to run 3-4 races on Saturday, June 29th and 1-2 races on Sunday, June 30th. No warning signal will be made after 1400 on Sunday, June 30th.
4.2 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race each day is 10:00
4.3 A skipper’s meeting will be held June 29 at 0830 on the west patio
Boat owner/skipper must have a current PHRF-LO rating certificate for the boat. Expedited PHRF- LO may be obtained by the SBYC PHRF-LO handicapper for a $60 fee at registration.
6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be distributed at Registration and at the Skippers Meeting.
The racing area will be either on Sodus Bay or on Lake Ontario approximately 1.5nm northwest of the Sodus Point Light at the discretion of the race committee.

2nd Annual Celtic Cup
Sunday September 16th 10:30 AM start. GPS time.
2 division = White sail & Spinnaker: 2 starts, first start at 10:30 AM = white sail. 2nd start at 10:35 AM spinnaker.
Wilson vs Olcott. Boats from Wilson will be racing from WHYRA P mark to OYC orange inflatable mark set off the end of the west pier Olcott, and back to WHYRA P. Boats from Olcott will be racing from end of West pier / Start mark to WHYRA P mark and return to finish.
Scoring will be time on time. Must have a Valid PHRF certificate. Open to sailboats & members of the Wilson yacht clubs “IYC, TYC, & WYC” and OYC members. Must register at your club by 9/14 on the signup sheet posted
Bonus to the scoring: Each boat will be able to subtract 1 minute from there finish time, for each member of their crew that is wearing a kilt for the entire race. (no substitutions… No dresses or wraps) noun /kilt/
A knee-length skirt of pleated tartan cloth, traditionally worn by men as part of Scottish Highland dress and now also worn by women and girls
Sign up at your club.
NO cost this year to race. After race BILLS party at WYC.& Cookout, bar will be open and there will be a cost for the food.
Celtic Cup Trophy will be awarded to the over all winners in each class!!!

Saturday June 2nd Spring Club Race was postponed due to conditions on the lake. The Makeup date will be Saturday June 9th. 10 AM skippers meeting, and 11 AM first signal. Race will preceed the Sail past at 2 PM. So be prepared!!
There will be the first race of the 2012 sailing season on Saturday June 2nd. Sprin Club Race 10 AM skippers meeting. First gun at 11 AM. I myself will be acting fleet captian due to Geoff Harvey being sick. See you on Saturday!!
