As you browse through these pictures keep the following in mind: The water level at the time the picture was taken, the amount of foliage on the island, the front lawn that didn’t exist early on, the boathouses on WYC property, and the porch without a roof. Also be aware that some of the shots are not in chronological order.
Enjoyed looking at all the historical photos. My Dad passed away in March of 2000, but I so remember the look of joy on his face when I brought him to WYC to see the island he helped purchase. Oh how my mom was furious at him for spending $500. In 1938!! Cheers to you Wally Hayes, first commodore of WYC!!
